Admission

Register with our Reception at the main entrance on the data of admission. All arrangements for you and your stay will be made here. The Reception is open on work days from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and at weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Affiliated doctors

Clinic Dr. Decker GmbH also works with affiliated doctors. This means that your attending doctor is not employed in the clinic but treats you in his capacity as general practitioner, making use of the clinic’s facilities and staff. Therefore, in addition to the clinic’s bill, the affiliated doctor also charges for his medical services.

Animals

We like animals a lot and can understand that you miss your pet. However, for reasons of hygiene no animals may be brought to the clinic.

See Public transport and Parking

B

Beverages

Please let the staff on your ward know what you would like to drink. There is a self-service drinking water dispenser in the communal area of ward 1 where you will also find a drinks machine for a variety of freshly prepared coffee and cocoa specialities.

C

Cash-free payment

All payments to the clinic can, of course, be made in a cash-free manner using your EC card. We trust you will understand that we can offer you cash-free payments starting from an amount of € 10.

Clinic management

The clinic is managed by the managing director and medical head Dr. Wolfgang Decker. The clinic management also consists of the commercial director Thomas Schuierer and the nursing and patient manager Oliver Jansen.

Clothing

You can, of course, bring your own clothes in which you feel the most comfortable. However, in the interest of your fellow patients, please only bring items of clothing and toiletry articles that you really need. If you leave your room we would ask you to wear a dressing gown.

Consultations

You should be able to move freely about our clinic and shape your day as you wish. In order to be able to plan your medical and nursing care as best possible, we would ask you to stay in your rooms in the morning for care, consultations and examinations.

D

Diet

If you are on a diet you should only eat food brought in to you after consulting the doctor so as not to endanger the success of treatment. Please also remind your visitors of this.

Discharge date

Your attending doctor decides on the date of your discharge in the interests of your health and to the best of medical knowledge. If you leave the clinic earlier against his advice, we cannot assume responsibility for any detrimental consequences. This applies in particular to your statutory or private health insurance.

Discharge

Our bed capacity is restricted. We would therefore ask you to leave your room by 9 a.m. so that a new patient can benefit from the bed as quickly as possible. If relatives are only able to collect you later, waiting areas are available to you (see Waiting areas). If you would like to take a meal whilst you are waiting, please let Reception know as early as possible (approx. 2 days before discharge) who will advise you of current prices.

F

Furnishings and equipment

The furnishings and equipment of the clinic are there for the well-being of all patients. Please treat them with care so that the patients following you can also benefit from them. You will be charged for any damage caused by wilful intent and gross negligence.

H

Holiday

It is understandable that you may like to leave the clinic for a while. However, for reasons of liability this is not possible.

House rules

Please observe our house rules which are posted in the reception area and in the wards.

M

A personal telephone is available to you at your bedside (see Telephone) or a coin-operated telephone in the waiting area in ward 1.

Money and valuables

We would ask you to give large amounts of money and valuables to your relatives because the clinic cannot assume liability in the case of loss. You can rent the safe in your wardrobe at Reception for an extra charge. Valuables can also be given to Reception for safekeeping.

N

O

Under no circumstances may ambulance accesses and rescue paths be blocked. It would be best to use public transport or a taxi (see under Public transport and Taxi).

Pastoral care

Pastors of both religious confessions are available to you on request.

Q

Questionnaire

We are happy to receive any positive and also negative criticism so that we can serve you even better in the future. We would therefore ask you to take a few minutes time to complete the patient questionnaire.

R

Rooms

We have a limited number of rooms. We do, of course, try to meet your wishes to provide a room but cannot give you the general assurance of a specific room or the possibility to opt for a single or two-bed room. We trust you will understand that it may be necessary to move you and that it may not be possible to give you a single or two-bed room because medical interests are of prime importance to us.

S

Smoking

Our clinic is a place which is intended to contribute to you getting better. For this reason smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings and also in the garden, not least in your own interests and out of respect for your fellow patients.

Statutory co-payment

Pursuant to Section 39 German Social Code (SGB V) we must charge you a co-payment of € 10 per day for a maximum of 28 days in any calendar year. This amount is not an additional income for the clinic. We are merely obliged to collect this money and pass it on to the statutory health insurance fund. This amount is not therefore to be viewed as a payment for any hospital treatment.

Stimulants

Alcoholic drinks and other stimulants can only be tolerated in individual cases after the explicit consent of the attending doctor.

T

Taxi

If you need a taxi for your departure, please get in touch with Reception in good time who will be pleased to order a taxi for you at the required time.
