Internal Medicine

Our main focus in internal medicine is angiology, also called vascular medicine. As a sub-area of internal medicine, this involves the detection and treatment of vascular diseases. This includes diseases of the vascular system with arteries and arteries leading away from the heart as well as of the vascular system leading to the heart with veins and lymph vessels. Arterial disease is usually caused by arteriosclerosis (limescale deposits), which can lead to the complete occlusion of a vessel. The most common venous diseases include the varicose veins, venous insufficiency and thromboses, etc. Angiographies can be performed in all vessel regions. In our clinic, we focus on the treatment of leg, arm and ventral arteries. This also includes treatments for lymph vessel diseases or vessel malformations.
